As we are an office that specializes in sedation services, we do not “Direct Bill” your dental insurance. Since the Personal Information Protection Act

(“PIPA”) has come into effect, it has become more challenging to be able to provide patients with informed estimates for treatment since the majority of pre-authorizations are sent to the insured person only. Due to the transition and the difficulty in dealing with Insurance companies directly, we have decided to no longer accept assignment from insurance companies effective July 1, 2018. Therefore, patients are required to pay for full cost of treatment at the time services being rendered.

The only exception will be patients with Ministry Coverage and in this case, the patient is responsible for the fee guide difference above Ministry payment. We will endeavor to inform patients that it is their responsibility for all fees charged by this Office, regardless of insurance coverage, and provide detailed estimates prior to the treatment being provided. We strive to provide the most accurate estimates that are discussed with patients upon consultation, however, costs may change due to unforeseen circumstances at time of surgery.

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Cash, as well as E-Transfer payments.

We submit claims to insurance companies on patients’ behalf for reimbursement. The insurance companies will then reimburse the policy holder directly according to their contracts
