Your dentist has referred you to our clinic, Sedation Care Dentistry, for dental treatment. Pediatric patients, ages 3 and up, or, Adult patients requiring sedation for the comfort and completion of dentistry.
Sedation Care Dentistry Clinic is licensed for multiple sedative agents. We offer a wide range of services in this area, but are not limited to, wisdom teeth extraction, full mouth clearance, biopsies, frenectomies, periprosthetic surgery, tori and exostosis removal, full mouth/extensive dental restorations/fillings.
CBCT imagery is available at the office for complex cases as well as a provision of imagery for other dental offices and their patients, upon request.
We’re happy to see patients for their sedation dentistry, however, this is NOT a facility for ongoing routine dental care and other than post-operative care, you will be directed back to your office for regular dental care.
Dentists and Anesthesiologists directly associated with patient care are PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certified. The Office is a ground floor and wheel chair accessible facility.
While we strive to contact you as soon as we can to schedule a consultation appointment, please feel free to contact our office to schedule an appointment if we have not spoken with you once you have seen your dentist and they have advised you of this referral for treatment. During the consultation appointment, we will confirm the treatment requested from your dentist and we will take a health check/history along with your health vitals. This appointment cannot be done virtually and must be scheduled as an office visit.
As we are an office that specializes in sedation services, we do not “Direct Bill” your dental insurance. Since the Personal Information Protection Act(“PIPA”) has come into effect, it has become more challenging to be able to provide patients with informed estimates for treatment since the majority of pre-authorizations are sent to the insured person only.
Due to the transition and the difficulty in dealing with Insurance companies directly, we have decided to no longer accept assignment from insurance companies effective July 1, 2018. Therefore, patients are required to pay for full cost of treatment at the time services being rendered.
The only exception will be patients with Ministry Coverage and in this case, the patient is responsible for the fee guide difference above Ministry payment. We will endeavor to inform patients that it is their responsibility for all fees charged by this Office, regardless of insurance coverage, and provide detailed estimates prior to the treatment being provided.
We strive to provide the most accurate estimates that are discussed with patients upon consultation, however, costs may change due to unforeseen circumstances at time of surgery.
For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Cash, as well as E-Transfer payments.
We submit claims to insurance companies on patients’ behalf for reimbursement. The insurance companies will then reimburse the policy holder directly according to their contracts.
